EuroTab 2008: June 24-26, 2008
Staff Report
Building Relationships and Export Opportunities.

The dates have been set.
EuroTab 2008 will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from June 24-26. So mark your calendars and get ready for the largest pan-European tobacco-related retail and distribution show to date. EuroTab brings together tobacco industry professionals from all over Europe, as well as from North America, Russia and the Former Soviet Republics, the Baltic and Balkan countries, Turkey, and the Near and Middle East.

EuroTab 2008-Warsaw will build upon the success of the first three EuroTab exhibitions, the most recent of which was held in Budapest in 2006. EuropTab-Budapest gathered together more than 2,000 participants from over 60 nations. Now the Warsaw show will be even larger!

A Smart Concept for a Changing Europe
The concept behind EuroTab is to offer the tobacco industry a pan-European distribution show, as opposed to the any smaller, traditional national shows. Past Eurotabs have attracted importers, distributors, large retailers, and chain store managers from all over Europe and gave them the chance to see-in one place-almost every possible tobacco-related product and accessory that's available. Everything from cigars, cigarettes, and cigarillos to pipes, lighters, and humidors. And EuroTab 2008-Warsaw promises to do the same, only there will be more people and more products!

One of the driving forces behind EuroTab is the changing nature of distribution itself. Although distribution systems vary dramatically from country to country, slowly but surely tobacco distribution and availability to tobacco products are becoming more pan-European and international.

The Exhibition
Distribution International, the leading publication for the worldwide tobacco distribution industry is proud to announce EuroTab 2008 at the Warsaw SKIE Centrum Expo XXI in June 2008. EuroTab 2008 is firmly centered on the European tobacco market (the world's largest), while also keeping a focus on other dynamic and developing regions such as Australia, the Middle East, and North Africa, among others.

Visitors
Make global contacts. EuroTab 2008 benefits from being organized by Distribution International and having access to its extensive international rolodex, an unrivaled and continually-updated database of manufacturers, including executives, marketing and production managers, as well as importers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers of tobacco products. This will ensure the success of the show and promises that the right people will visit your booth at EuroTab 2008.

Exhibitors
A direct reflection of Distribution International's readers and advertisers, EuroTab 2008 Exhibitors will include:

  • Manufacturers and trademark holders for cigarettes, cigars, bidis, kretek, RYO, cut rag, pipe tobacco, as well as all type of accessory suppliers.
  • All the equipment, machinery, supplies, and services necessary for manufacturing and packaging tobacco products.
  • Exporters, processors, blenders, trade groups, etc.
Why Warsaw?
Poland is an aggressive leader in economic liberalization and today is noted as a success story. Poland is an active member of Euro-Atlantic organizations, proud of an economic reform during the early 1990s that transformed its economy into a democratic, market-oriented country. Warsaw, the capital of the biggest country in Central Europe, is home and headquarters to its population of 40 million people. An investor-friendly city, Warsaw is the quintessential attraction for your tobacco business, boasting the cornerstones of political, cultural, and economic gentility.
