J. Cortès | Neos Minis Brand Gets International Launch

Belgium-based J. Cortès Cigar Company’s popular Neos Mini brand cigarillos have been known for being thinner than the average cigarillo and catering to smokers in the market for a quick, smooth smoke. Recently the brand created a test launch for three flavor variations Java, Reserva, and Vanilla in France, which quickly became France’s best-selling cigarillos. This September the new variations will be available internationally. The Mini Java offers a Java wrapper for an easy smoking experience. The Reserva features 50 % Cuban Filler, for consumers looking for full-flavor cigarillos. The Vanilla variation is a smooth smoke with a touch of vanilla flavoring. The Minis are available internationally in elegant tins of 10 cigarillos.

Tabacos de la Cordillera | Adds Two Maduros

The Fundación Ancestral Luxury Cigar Line from Tabacos de la Cordillera has been expanded with two maduro additions: the Vuelta Arriba 1942 and Villa Clara 1943. Cordillera grows all its own leaf from seeds coming from “Cuba’s Golden Age of tobacco and cigars,” according to Director and Tobacco Geneticist John Vogel. “Cuban researchers developed and introduced these five blends’ seeds in the legendary growing regions of the island, from 1940 through 1944. These first of these two latest varieties was catalogued only as ‘Villa Clara 1943.’ The origin of the second seeds was more located more scenically in Villa Clara Province’s world-renowned Vuelta Arriba region, in 1942.”

In addition to the all-Costa-Rican tobaccos, The Fundación Ancestral series also uses the etubado bunching Cuban method of cigar rolling, called Dead-Center Ligero, and finally, is finished with a panuelo (handkerchief) cap for easier cutting and to prevent unraveling.
